Backroads and Ballplayers
I have spent over 50 years in education as a teacher, coach, and educational technology specialist. Now semi-retired, I have time to pursue two of my life-long interests, baseball and history..
Arkansas baseball is deeply rooted in the "ruralness" of it's history. In the first half of the 20th Century, Arkansas country boys from the Ozarks to the Delta played a game they loved with sparse equipment on fields borrowed from cow pastures. This project is dedicated to the preservation of their life stories and their contribution to the history and culture of both the game of baseball and my beloved Arkansas.
